When Narendranath Datta first met Sri Ramakrishna, he was a bold, intellectual young man who refused to accept anything without direct experience. He questioned every spiritual claim, rejected blind rituals, and demanded proof of God. Ramakrishna welcomed this fearless questioning and encouraged it, seeing it as a sign of sincerity.
